WCX File Creation in Server 2012

I'm to automate the process of distributing RemoteApps to Windows 7 users using Server 2012.  Referencing the technet blogs I noticed that a WCX configuration file must be coupled with the Powershell script for proper execution.  The problem is that I do not know how to create this WCX file in Server 2012.  All of the references talk about Server 2008.  Is this still possible to accomplish in Server 2012?
