SSO for RD Web - internal LAN clients

Hi all

We have a small 10 server PoC running well but would now like to implement SSO on RD Web for internal clients (externals flow through UAG) and wonder if by simply adding/configuring an RD Gateway we can achieve this?

In this case my definition of SSO is user browses RD Web URL and is automatically signed in and appropriate icons are presented.  Currently once user has authenticated against RD Web's URL SSO is operational as all role certificates have been assigned.

There is no RD Gateway role currently as external access is provided by UAG simply pointing to RD Web's url.

Having looked here  the section:

In the Properties dialog box, select the RD Gateway tab. For web SSO to work with RD Gateway, select the Use RD Gateway credentials for remote computers check box, and set the Logon method to Password Authentication.

specifically the 'for remote computers' has confused me.

Can I assume even if the RD Gateway is within the LAN (not part of the DMZ as there's no need) it will treat all connections as 'remote computers' if 'Bypass RD Gate way for local computers' is unchecked, and therefore provide RD Web SSO for internal LAN connections?

Your help is really appreciated.

Lea
