Hi Technet.
I have a small problem with a all 2008 R2 environment.
We have a large farm and a small farm for a selected group of customers.
On the large farm the load balancing works fine. Every servers gets its share of users (about 30-50 each day) and if a server is put into drain mode the current connection get removed and diverted to other servers once they Logoff and Login again.
However on the small farm (only 2 servers) once server TS-01 gets put into Drain Mode (User Logon Mode = Allow reconnections, but prevent new logons) some users still connect to the same server and get a "Server Refused Login" while other users that have previously connected to TS-02 get directed there and are able to connect. Users connect to a NLB DNS name through our Gateway server on both farms with different DNS names.
The farms both use the same Connection Broker at SB-02. SB-02 is located on the root domain along with the large farm but the small farm is located on a child domain. Both farms seem to have identical GPO´s for their settings. Checking the event logs on both the large/small farm give errors at Microsoft/Windows/TerminalServices-SessionBroker-Client/Admin.
The error is a 1280 Remote Desktop Services failed to join the Connection Broker on server SB-02 HRESULT = 0x88150003
Any ideas on what could possibly be the problem?
