Hi,
I have been banging my head against a wall on this one for 2 days now and i'm no closer to an answer! I get the error shown below immediately on clicking "Deploy" on the wizard.
Unable to install RD Connection Broker role service on server Server.local
Things I have done. The server is running on VMware 5.5. Installing as a Domain Admin
1. Checked event logs. Nothing in any of the standard logs at all.
2. Enabled Debug logs for RDMS UI Tracing and checked in there, nothing I can see extra information wise on the cause of the error. Gets to 1% then fails
3. The server is not a domain controller which I saw some issues with installing the RDS roles
4. Installed a brand new VM with no updates installed and ran wizard. Same issue.
5. Tried preinstalling all the role services prior to running the wizard. No change.
6. Saw some posts on the "internal database" user not having appropriate rights. Changed this to a domain admin account and restarted server. No change.
7. Tried remotely using powershell using New-SessionDeployment. Gets a very generic "installation failed" error message.
8. Tried remotely using Server manager. Same error as running locally.
9. Fully updated the VM with latest Windows updates and latest VMware tools updates. No change.
10. Tried running the quick deployment as well as the standard deployment. No change.
To be honest im totally out of ideas at this point. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
